Castle Museum



In the city of Medellín, sectors of the poblado and Aguatala, is the Museo El Castillo, a truly amazing that despite having been built in the twentieth century, has the essence of the beautiful medieval castles in Europe.

Jardin Botánico

The Botanical Gardens of Medellín and its enormous Orquideorama, are considered the heart of the city and represent the most beautiful orchids in all the world. The design of the Orquideorama was selected from a contest in which many nationally renown architects participated. The final result was a replica of the cells of a gigantic honeycomb. The garden was covered for year long exhibits and temporary exhibitions.  Besides being a beautiful location for meetings, recreational and social events, religious or academic, the beautiful internal gardens displayed here will always be know for the everlasting orchids, the emblem of Colombia.

Metro Cable

The Metrocable system, a part of the Metro of Medellín, at this time, consists of two lines; K-line and the J line and connects with the railway lines A and B. The Metrocable also serves like a nourishing source of the Metro. The Metrocable was built in order to improve the mobility of the inhabitants of the city from one part to another. These new lines maintain the standards of quality of the Metro of Medellín throughout air corridors that extend the reach of the whole metro system to otherwise difficult to reach mountaintop locations.

EXPLORA PARK

An enormous construction project created by the Mayorship of Medellín in early 2003, is a collection of buildings located in downtown, containing everything science, and was open to the public in 2007. This scientific institution offers the visitors a unique experience of intimate contact with the most advanced science and technology in the world. Everything from the universal cosmos, deep space, nature and our planet, the human body, biology, ecology, and hands on playful learning, are just a  few thing that can be experienced. This park is one of only a few in all of South America like it.

AQUARIUM

The largest and most beautiful aquarium in all of South America, designed to exhibit the enormous variety of marine and aquatic species of the country, is also located in the downtown district.  As many samples of fresh water as salt water, it displays over 400 species and more than 4,000 exotic fish.  Now, and in recent years, the aquarium constitutes one of main tourist attractions in the entire  city. The Aquarium of Medellín is located within the facilities of the Park Explora (above), a modern complex dedicated to teaching citizens and visitors about science, technology, nature, water, and many more inventions, phenomena and characteristics of our planet earth.

MEDELLIN

 Welcome to Medellin city in the past, present and future. we want to display digital images, the positive and the attractions, cultural, social, In the beautiful villa. We know that a picture is worth a thousand words, hence the idea of having a place to show us some sites in our beautiful city.

Guatapé and the Peñol

This beautiful place is located in the department of Antioquia, about 90 minutes from Medellin. The reservoir is one of the largest in South America. It is a great attraction for boating, water skiing, and sailing. The rock is known as The Peñon of Guatapé, or La Piedra del Peñol. It has 644 steps and the view from the top is absolutely amazing. At the base of the rock you will find restaurants and stores. This is a very popular tourist destination in Antioquia.

SALADO PARK

It is located 7 Kilometers via the palms, 15 minutes from the El Retiro downtown. This park is a great landscape that tourists can enjoy. It has booths, a train for children, goats, swimming pool, playground, lake, boats and water bikes. It offers visitors nature trails, sites for camping during the day, beautiful scenery, restaurants, places for food preparation, and is also used for meetings. It is a family meeting place for its recreational space.

ARVI PARK

A huge natural ecological park located northeast of Medellín, it covers four different territories;  Medellin, Envigado, Bello and Copacabana. It has 16,000 hectares, of which 1760 are beautifully preserved natural forests. It as 54 kilometers of trails for campers and hikers. One of the most amazing aspects of this park is its access system, which is made by the metro cable which has a design that is oriented to ecological tourism, and so far is one of the only in the world.
