Jardin Botánico

The Botanical Gardens of Medellín and its enormous Orquideorama, are considered the heart of the city and represent the most beautiful orchids in all the world. The design of the Orquideorama was selected from a contest in which many nationally renown architects participated. The final result was a replica of the cells of a gigantic honeycomb. The garden was covered for year long exhibits and temporary exhibitions.  Besides being a beautiful location for meetings, recreational and social events, religious or academic, the beautiful internal gardens displayed here will always be know for the everlasting orchids, the emblem of Colombia.
